Ghana Music Awards UK 2018 Highlife Artist Of the year Nana Yaw Kumi, Popularly know as Kumi Guitar is not happy with some occurrences between his managers and himself and has released a song “same God” intended to address these issues.
The 5Star highlife artist as his fans call him has come out to respond to certain allegations made against him by his current managers Mel Kwesi Davies(Road Manager) and Nana Poku Ashis(Manager) who according to Kumi Guitar apparently have been tarnishing his image amongst the industry folks.
This comes off certain posts by Mel on social media prompting the artist to report the issue to the police considering how intense it was getting.
Speaking to Showbiz blogger Ghkwaku on his new showbiz talkshow “on the spot”, according to Kumi Guitar, he has had a very good relationship with his managers over the course of the months since they started working and is marveled by the actions by them towards him.
One that really got him worried about his life and safety was some posts by his road manager, Mel Kwesi Davis who used to post threatening messages on social media aimed at him.
He found them worrisome and had to lodge a complain against him at the police station.
He stated ” Mel started writing some things about me on facebook. He said some things about me to Kojo preko of kasapa fm who is also a close friend to Mel Kwesi Davis so they speak about these issues, and Kojo was very kind to tell me because he didn’t want to believe what he was hearing so he had to hear my side of the story.
He added; At a point i reported Mel to the police because he was writing about ‘killing’ and using some very threatening words which were quite alarming, we tried to contact him but to no avail so i had to report the case.
According to the zylofon music artist, the matter was later discussed with their overall boss Nana Asiamah Hanson(Bulldog) who is the artists manager at zylofon music and had the case resolved and taken out of the police station in the process.
