Ghana’s premiere lingerie brand, Aha! Intimates, launches Aha! Pink Warriors
Aha! Intimates, Ghana’s premiere lingerie line, is about to join the fight against breast cancer as it opens a new foundation, Aha! Pink Warriors designed to bring more awareness to the issue.
The organization will kick off a campaign featuring Twena Harvey Ewusi, a renowned Ghanaian fashion and creative designer and breast cancer survivor. The foundation has produced a 20-minute documentary on her journey, which will be released October 4. A second documentary showcases a second elderly survivor.
“I lost my mum ten years ago to the disease,” Aha! Intimates C.E.O. MaameEsiAcquah, said. “Later, I lost two friends. I can’t keep silent anymore.”
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second most
common cancer overall. The Aha! Pink Warriors’ goal is to raise awareness and celebrate breast cancer survivorship. Greater knowledge about the prevention of breast cancers through Aha! Pink
Warriors, will lead to earlier detection of breast cancer, which is associated with higher long-term survival rates.

The foundation will hold several events at Accra Mall during October, including an official opening ceremony on the 20th with Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana.

Aha! Pink Warriors collaborated with the Africa Cancer Organization and Breast Care international, as well as Atterbury properties to make available free breast cancer screening from at the Accra Mall and Westhills Mall for the entire month of October.

About Aha! Intimates

Aha! Intimates was founded in 2012 by Maame Esi Acquah, a former Miss Universe Ghana 2000. Her inability to find comfortably fitting bras and her desire to help other women facing a similar problem inspired the creation of Aha! Intimates. With her savings and support from her mum, she started to design comfortable bras that would fit the average Ghanaian woman.
The former beauty queen has developed the brand from those simple beginnings to a major line of lingerie, which now has a swimwear collection under the label as well as Ah-ccessories, with stores in Accra /Westhills mall in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
