Black Stars Skipper, Asamoah Gyan has been ruled out of Thursday’s AFCON 2017 qualifier with Mozambique after suffering an injury at the team’s final training on Wednesday morning.

The team held it’s final training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday morning ahead of tomorrow’s game but the Shanghai SIPG striker retired before the end of the team’s final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium after suffering a thigh injury.

Current checks with the team indicates he will need five days to recover thus ruling him out of both legs on 24th and 27th March on Thursday and Sunday respectively.

The iconic Black Stars captain is the country’s leading all-time scorer with 48 goals in 95 appearances for the four-time African champions and was expected to add to his tally.
