Students of Association International School are set to perform a musical production, “Aladdin”, in collaboration with the Accra Symphony Orchestra. In an interview, the headmistress of the school mentioned that “education and art are an integral part of human development and should be included in school curriculum”.

She further indicated the essence of the production saying “we want our children in Ghana to be inspired to think, to do and to follow their dreams. We need to produce people in the arts, and nurture that in our citizenry.

We need the government to encourage and support such courses because it is our future”. The headmistress promises that the production will be packed with magic, excitement, music, orchestra backing, opera and a show of a lifetime. The production will also star daughter of the eloquent and popular Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas.

The TV star expressed her enthusiasm and support for the production. In an interview with ghkwaku.com, she said; “we are going to have a diversified range of talents. The kids are our future and once we are able to discover these talents and nurture our kids, we would have a progressive country. They work tirelessly and I’m so proud of them”.

She urged the general public to come out in their numbers and support the event. “Aladdin” is an Arabian set production about a “poor kid” who married a princess, indicating that everything is possible. The production comes off on the 6th of May at the National Theatre, at 2@pm and 6pm. Tickets are available at all Zenith Bank branches, Aviation Social Centre, Baatsona Total, Airport Shell and also at Association International School.
