CAF Awards 2014 to show live tonight on DSTV+ Joselyn Dumas to Host

Ghanaian actress, Joselyn Dumas and South African SuperSports television host, Robert Marawa will host the 2014 Glo-CAF Awards Gala onThursday 8, January 2015 at the Eko Hotel & Suites Lagos, Nigeria.

The duo will steer the show to celebrate and honor African footballers and officials who distinguished themselves during the year under review, 2014. The Awards show will be televised live on DStv channels 204 and 209 at 8PM GMT.

Joselyn Dumas, made her debut on screen as the host of Ghanaian local entertainment show, Rhythmz and urrently Joselyn hosts the ‘At Home with Joselyn Dumas’ talk show on Africa Magic on DStv.

She has also been recently nominated in the Best Actress (Drama) category for her performance in” Love or Something like That” for the 2014 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards.

Robert Marawa is a South African sports journalist and television/ radio personality. He currently works as a presenter for Super Sport in addition to hosting i083 Sports@6 on Metro FM in Johannesburg. Popularly known as “Madluphuthu,” Marawa is currently hosting the Discovery Sports Centre 6-7pm and weekdays on Metro FM. He also hosts soccer shows, particularly European Champions League review and update on Supersport. It will be recalled that Marawa co-hosted the 2011 Edition of Glo-CAF Awards in Accra, Ghana alongside ex-Ghana International football player Tony Baffoe.

There will be several exciting performances at the event including Global jazz icon, Hugh Masekela from South Africa, Congo DR’s multiple award-winning singer and guitarist, Fally Ipupa, Nigeria’s sensations Flavour and Lagbaja, pan-African group, Cirque D’Afrique, Soweto Gospel Choir from South Africa, Tanzania’s prominent multiple award winning singer, Diamond and sensational singing group from South Africa, Uhuru amongst others.

Expected to attend the 2014 Glo-CAF Awards gala night are many ex -internationals including former Super Eagles Captains, Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo. Globacom said Okocha and two former African Footballers of the year, Nwankwo Kanu and Victor Nosa Ikpeba, are expected to grace the awards aptly labelled the Oscars of African football. It is believed that their presence at the event would spur younger football players to greater height.
