Power cuts, technical hitches, intermittent delays and a ‘no show’ by dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and rapper Sarkodie took the shine off the Livespot X Festival, headlined by American rapper, Cardi B.

Unhappy with the turn of events, frustrated fans pelted organisers and asked for a refund.

Hundreds of music lovers who showed up at the Accra Sports Stadium Sunday night were left disappointed as they were stranded for hours before the show officially began.

Cardi B was supposed to perform alongside A-list artistes like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale , Joey B and a host of others at the Livespot X Festival, but things did not go as planned.

The event which was supposed to have started at 8:00pm started at about 10:30p.m after the fans were left at the venue with no explanation whatsoever from organizers of the show.

Although some of the artistes billed for the show like Eno Barony, Guru, Becca, Medikal and a few others performed, the likes of Sarkodie and Shattawale did not get to perform despite several assurances from the organizers throughout the show that the two were backstage and were ready to perform.

Some of the fans took to throwing empty bottles and stones at the stage out of frustration when they were left standing with no explanation as to who will perform next for hours.

The fans, some of whom spoke to 3news lashed out at organizers for the poor manner in which the show was organized.

“I think it is a very poorly organized event. The gate was opened at 2. I can see that Accra was an afterthought, i think it is very disrespectful.”

“I think it’s deplorable, because all they’ve had are MCs, DJs come in the last couple of hours.”

“I have never witnessed a boring program like this before,” the frustrated fans lamented.
