Muse Africa nominee, DJ Ashmen in an interview with blogger Kobby Kyei bitterly told the public not blame Ghanaian DJ’s for not promoting music of their own.

He revealed that most of the time, musicians don’t do the type of songs their listeners want so Ghanaian DJ’s are forced to play foreign songs that interest their listeners.

The DJ stated in the interview that, the way most Ghanaian music are produced are not professional, lack promotion strategy and it makes it difficult for Ghanaians to accept their own. Meaning most Ghanaian songs lack clarity. This even discourages most DJ’s not to promote Ghanaian music at all.

He revealed another factor saying, most people request for foreign songs instead of Ghanaian music and they have to go according to their listeners request.
