Fun loving persons who could not make it to this years’ Hogbetsotso Festival have undoubtedly missed out on a lot of fun as one of Ghana’s biggest hiplife artistes, Edem was there to light up the celebration.

The popular musician and the ‘pride’ of the Volta Region, Edem decided to take his music and cultural festival to the people of his region as he joined them to celebrate Hogbetsotso 2018.

Being one of the main events that highlighted this year’s Hogbetsotso Festival for the youth, there was no dull moment as fun-packed activities were unleashed on persons who patronised the event.

The second edition of the Edemfest, however, could not have been fulfilling enough for patrons without another great son of the land, Stonebwoy joining his tribe man, Edem at the music and cultural festival.

It was a fun packed Friday night as big Ghanaian acts including rapper EL, Kofi Kinaata, Gariba, Lil Shaker and Edem took their turns to deliver thrilling performances to the admiration of the audiences.

But the euphoria that met the King of Bhim Nation and the winner of the maiden Ghana Music Awards, South Africa Artiste of the Year Award when he mounted the stage to perform, was just incredible!

The spell from his mouth-watering performance of carefully selected songs to compliment the occasion, got his audience cheering him on as they sing and dance along.

One may think the well over 20 minutes performance would be boring to the patrons but no! The ‘Bawasaaba’ hit maker’s riveting show was just too irresistible such that they rather yearned for more.

An overly excited fan who couldn’t resist the spell and decided to join Stonebwoy on stage was gently thrown off and caught in the air by people in the crowd.

The headline artiste, Edem who was initially seen on stage distributing some paraphilia at the same time Stonebwoy was busily entertaining the audience, later impressed his fans with his “crazy” performance.

That moment of “craziness” finally arrived when Edem took his turn to show the crowd what he’s got for them.

The excitement in the air as Edem performed his hit songs, ‘Over Again’, ‘Girlfriend’, the show was seized by fans as their voices overshadowed that of Edem’s.

Rapper EL took advantage of the event to prove to fans he’s one of the best rappers in town.

The concert was set on fire with the rap prowess exhibited by the Afrobeat musician.

Lil Shaker, Kofi Kinaata, Obibini, Gariba others also gave out their best to make the night an exciting one for patrons.

About Edemfest 2018

The second edition of the Edemfest offered the platform for music lovers to meet some of their favourite artistes, make new friends as they network amidst being entertained with great music.

Edem in an interview revealed the concert forms part of his corporate social responsibility of giving back to society.

The Edemfest was used to celebrate Ghanaian music, promote tourism and to the culture of the people of the Volta Region as they celebrate their annual festival, Hogbetsotso.

Prior to the concert, Edem explained this year’s event will be used to campaign against illegal sand winning and open defecation along the coastal lands in the country.

The concert attracted a large crowd of people from different backgrounds.
