With competition looming Across all angles in the Ghana Movie industry, where there has been emergence of so many actors and actresses who always aim at providing tough battle for the likes of Jacke Appiah, Nadia Buari, John Dumlelo, Majid Michel and the likes, None of them seem to Reach the level or match the pace of these award winning artistes. With that being said, There’s one particular actress who’s attracted the eyes of many Producers and directors . I had An opportunity to hold a brief chat with fast rising actress and model Mae Sitsofe Tsikor who reveals quite some interesting things about herself, ghana movies, African Actresses and more.

The actress has featured in popular movies such as Yvonne Nelson’s Single married and complicated, a Chico ejiro movie titled ‘Open Marriage, Seperate lives and also tv3’s Xcapade which shows every Friday at 8;30pm and also have many promising movies set to hit the markets and Cinemas.Here are some interesting things the actress Reveled during my brief interview with her.

Who Is Mae Sitsofe Tsikor?? She Said…

Of course as you already know I’m an Actress/Model , I’m a Nigerian/Ghanaian. I say this because my mum is a Ghanaian, my dad is a nigerian.I Speak English, Twi As well as Ewe and a little bit of ga. I’m 30 years of age and currently live in Ghana,Accra, but I grew up with my mum and my adorable step dad. i visit nigeria at times to see my brothers and other relatives since my dad is late and i take that opportunities to work when i’m in Nigeria.

 

I Schooled here in Ghana, Secondary, the famous achimota Senior High school and went on to Central University where i did Marketing,hence hold a degree in marketting. Impressive.

 

We once heard you are open to any movie role, even Going the extreme (nude scenes), How true is that??

Well, You heard right, i can deliver every script given to me by a producer/director especially the challenging ones.Of course, every role is challenging but there are some , you acted before and its more like repeating it.There are very challenging roles trust me.

 

On Playing Nude Scenes She said:

There are many categories when it comes to playing nude scenes.Basically i can go a long way but not all the way, but then again, It depends. In short, i Will play nude roles but probably won’t enjoy it, she laughed.

 

On who is her favorite Ghanaian/African Actress …

I would say, Nana Ama McBrown. Why?, Because i think compared to other actresses,she lives the part and as well her way of blending in the Kumasi and accra movies is agonizing.When it comes to the whole of Africa, i’ll give it to Genevieve. I agree with you Sitsoe.

 

Any Role Models?? And it better not be Angelina Jollie..

Hahaa, She laughed. I love Angelina Jollie but my role model is Empire’s Very own Tarraji P. Henson. In Africa, i have mad love for Genevieve, she’s my inspiration(role model)

 

Any Upcoming Movies..

There are lots of them about to hit the markets and cinemas.I will not disclose them but  just wait and see. I have series as well coming out soon….Charade, Victims and others, i can’t remember the titles for now but you’ll surely get to know ones they are out.

 

Are you much of a fashionista??

Basically, i would say, everybody has a little fashion sense in him/her. I know how to pick out my dresses when going out for events and others. A fashionista is on another level of fashion. I am fashionable but not much of a fashionista.
