And they lived happily (n)ever after… If love can really be defined, then on Saturday, KOBI RANA FILM and VERDANT Media once again gave us a run for our money. Backed by its ‘galaxy of star’ cast, ‘HAPPILY NEVER AFTER’ can be said to have inarguably had one of the best premieres so far in 2016.

The movie which featured Prince David Osei, Jackie Appiah, Nana Ama McBrown, Roselyn Ngissah, James Gardiner, Chris Lein Brown, Toosweet Annan, Benedicta Gaffah and Nancy Adom depicted love in an abstract yet hilarious way. Who can you attribute this brilliant concept to if not Ghana’s most creative and all rounded producer-personality Kobi Rana. ‘HAPPILY NEVER AFTER’ is tragicomedy love story with a pinch of melodrama creatively fused.

“Love is a fairy tale, and once upon a time Romeo and Juliet loved. Romeo lost limbs, and Juliet, sight, yet love transpired leading ‘the never after’ to ‘the ever after’”- My summary of this awesome movie! This movie emphasized on a couple-to-be who had two changes in fate; pre and post their marriage. They had dated for 4 years and seven days into their marriage the unfortunate happened. The male spouse-to-be (Prince David Osei) was crippled in an accident whilst drive-texting his spouse-to-be (Jackie Appiah), who also suffered a same fate, but this time, she lost her eyes. I know this is crazy but can a cripple and a blind get married? Love indeed is a beautiful thing.

Through the trials and tribulations, doubts and suspicions, pressure from friends and family and a miscarriage… their love stood the test of time. For the paralyzed walked again and the blind saw again, and they relived the moment of their lives.

“HAPPILY NEVER AFTER” had a huge attendance. Alongside the cast,  Other non-participant stars came through including Beverly Afaglo, Abdul Sallam Mumuni, Elikem Kumordzie, Ingrid Alabi, Salma Mumin, Comedian Hogan, Moesha Budoung, Kobby Acheampong, Alexander Osei,  Singer Nana Yaa,  Makafui Fella and many more. The reaction of the audience was very responsive. Lots of suspense and flashback wowed them.

All in all, this movie is quality worth our money. Kindly do visit the nearest SilverBird Cinema to catch a glimpse of the glory bright as it continues to show within the week! The movie will premiere as well in Kumasi so look out for the date…
