Charterhouse, organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards have reacted to rumours that Bisa Kdei’s popular song, ‘Brother Brother’ was banned from this year’s awards due to the ‘forking’ word in the song. George Quaye, PRO for the event company speaking to Dr. Cann on Happy FM in Accra stated that the song was not banned but they nominated ‘Mansa’ because of the good intention they have for the artiste.

“You can’t put all of his popular songs in the same category. He will get divided votes and other songs in the same category will take advantage of that to get more votes, so we did that in consultation with him. The song wasn’t banned as speculated.”

Bisa Kdei had nominations for Artiste of the year, highlife song of the year, music producer of the year, most popular song of the year, album of the year and highlife artiste of the year categories.
