TV presenter, Stacy Amoateng, says she feels blessed and highly favoured after emerging the overall RTP Personality of the Year on Saturday night at the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards which came off at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

Stacy also won TV Female Presenter of the Year and TV Program of the Year with her Restoration with Stacy show which airs on Joy Prime and Angel TV.

Tearful after she received the big prize, Stacy told Showbiz, “Winning Personality of the Year, TV Female Presenter of the Year, TV Program of the Year means a lot to me taking into consideration the great radio and TV personalities I was competing with. All I can say is that I am highly blessed.

Stacy said she deserves all three awards because she has worked hard in the year under review.

“The journey has not been easy but with determination and hard work this is where we are and I know there are greater things ahead of me. I always go for gold and the skies are my limit,” she said.

Other winners on the night were Berla Mundi who won TV Entertainment Female Host Of the Year, Johnnie Hughes who was adjudged TV Morning Show Host Of The Year while Countryman Songo won TV Sports Show Host Of The Year.

Daniel Dadzie of Joy FM won Radio Morning Show Host Of The Year, Nana Yaw Sarfoh of Vision One FM won Radio Mid-Morning Show Host Of The Year while GHOne’s Nana Aba Anamoah won TV Development Show Host Of The Year.

The night couldn’t have gone any better with performances from KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Wendy Shay, Okomfo Kwadee and Eddy Khae.

KiDi started his performance with the ladies favourite, Adiepena and followed with tunes like Odo, Thunder and Say You Love Me. He had a lot of fun with the audience during his time on stage.

Wendy Shay followed and her entry with macho men and her dancers was on point. Her choreography made her performance good as she sang her songs Uber Driver, Bedroom Commando and Astalavista.

Before ending her performance she told the media to also promote her positive deeds than to always dwell on her negative stories.

Eddy Khae and Kuami Eugene also put up fantastic performances when they mounted the stage. Okomfo Kwadee was not really impressive on the night considering the performance he put up during last year’s edition.

Johnnie Hughes, who won the TV Morning Show Host of the Year, with his wife
The eighth edition of the Adonko RTP Awards, which was hosted by Shirley Tibilla and Ohene Boakye, was well attended.

The only minus about the show was the late start. Billed to start at 7pm, patrons had to stand in the foyer of the AICC for more than two hours before they finally entered at 9.20 pm.
