Ace music producer, Appietus has revealed that he didn’t make any money from most of the popular and hits songs he’s noted for producing. Appietus made this revelation on Behind The Art, a web documentary focused on highlighting the journeys of black creatives. 

“If i tell you that most of the big hits i made, i didn’t make one pesewa, you wouldn’t believe it, because i was just into it, he said. “I didn’t even know i was popular until they started giving me awards…”, he added. 

According to the Appietus, passion for one’s art drives success at it. He, at the time, was only enjoying his craft, and not necessarily focused on money. The music producer further added that he’s always in a creative mood, and everywhere he hears music, he enjoys creating his own sound on the beats. 

“I’m always in a creative mood. Anywhere music is playing, everyone who knows me knows that Appiah is planning is own beats on that beat”, he mentioned. 

The multiple award winning music producer further explained that, he creates beats in his head when he hears a song. He further imagines the beats together with the music played in different settings like the club or other places, and that’s how he produces music.
