While most musicians are said to charge an arm and a leg for as little as even a ‘grunt’ as contribution for featuring on a song, music producer and singer, Nacee has disclosed he always does features for free.

According to the Gospel artiste, he has never taken money from any of his colleagues to feature on their songs.

Speaking in an interview with Showbiz on Monday, December 1, Nacee stated that for all the numerous features he has done, he has never taken a pesewa from his colleague musicians.

‘I don’t remember charging any of the musicians I have worked with on a song. You can just ask any of them whether I took even one Cedi from them. Nothing pushes me to take money for something I love to do”, he told Showbiz.

Nacee who has featured on songs by some of the top Gospel musicians in Ghana such as Cecilia Marfo, Cece Twum, Joe Mettle and Celestine Donkor further revealed that before he agrees to be a part of a song, he needs to get his mood right. And until he gets into that mood, nothing will move him to lift a finger to help out.

“I do features only when I am in the mood. I never work with any artiste on a song when I am not in the mood. All the features I have done depended on how I felt at that particular time” he said

He explained that he has on several occasions turned down requests from some of his colleagues because he was not touched to make an appearance on their song.

According to Nacee, although some of the Gospel musicians are not cool with that attitude of his, he says there is nothing he can do if he is not touched to feature on a song.

Nacee who was set to release an album this year explained to Showbiz that the album has been put on hold due to the sudden death of his father.

“Yes, my album was expected to drop this year but my unfortunately, my dad passed away. I will release it next year God willing so I urge my fans to watch out for it”, Nacee added.
