After putting up a great performance during the week eight contest of the 2018 Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant, Highlife musician, Lucky Mensah has stated that he is still on fire despite long years of doing music.

Speaking to the Graphic Showbiz on the sidelines of the pageant on Sunday, November 11, the Nkratuo singer who got the audience standing and dancing throughout his performance said Ghanaians should expect more from him.

Lucky Mensah did a live band performance of his numerous hit songs including Come Back to me, Wo Te Akoma, Agooji, Wope A Hwe, Brofre Nie, Aduu Sumo Akwadu, Bottom Of My Heart, I Miss You and his performance, he said should send a strong signal that his career isn’t over.

According to him, having been away for a long while, most of the patrons at the event hadn’t expected such a great comeback but his act was worthy of commendation since he didn’t want to disappoint.

The judges, most notable, Linda Ampah were seen dancing in appreciation of Lucky Mensah’s skills on stage.

In the interview, he also complained that most of the songs released by the young artistes lack good content because they don’t make sense.

These new generation of artistes he says, thrived on rhythm and that cannot be compared to what was produced by the older musicians.

“Making music in the early days was not easy because a lot of due process had to be followed before one could release a song.

“You had to work behind the scenes for long before coming out with a song since studios weren’t common at the time.

“It wasn’t easy at that time, and you cannot compare our days to what they are doing now,” he stressed.

Although he says he took a long break to focus on other money making ventures, Lucky Mensah said he currently has a live band he is managing and disclosed plans to release a new album early next year.
