Ghanaian screen-goddess Joselyn Dumas is storming the Okaishie Market in Accra Wednesday with the second phase of her “Xcholera campaign”.

The campaign which started late August 2014 is to raise awareness about the cholera outbreak in Ghana but more importantly get people to be more aware of their environment and practice good personal hygiene.

Over 5000 people across the country have been infected since the outbreak in June with over 100 dead.

The “Xcholera Campaign” which was initially run on social media has metamorphosed into a huge movement with the actress involving her co-stars in the very first market storm.

Speaking on ENTERTAINMENT NOW! on the STARR DRIVE with Bola Ray, Dumas said she is excited about this new phase of the campaign.

“This campaign is different from what we usually see people do. Cleaning up dirty areas to create awareness and all that…it is about sensitising the public to understand the need to clean their environment and getting them committed to staying clean.”

The market storm is being supported by Lifebuoy and Ernest Chemist.
