Kofas Media, producers of the popular “Kalybos in China” which premiered in over eleven cities and nine regions in Ghana are at it again. We saw a very bizarre list of cast during their first movie production which saw John dumelo, Christabel Ekeh, Nikki Samonas who in most cases play lead or supporting characters featured for cameo roles which we do not often get to witness, and from the records available, it paid off.

“Amakye & Dede” as the producer explained yesterday at the press conference which was held at the “Holiday Inn”,Accra, Ghana, is a story between two very good childhood friends, who grew up together, went to same schools, worked together and basically did everything together but some point they realized, they have fallen for the same girl altogether. In this instance, one must volunteer and let go of this girl.

But the understanding wasn’t there so rules had to be put in place hence they agreed to go solo and stick to their A-game individually and whoever wins the girl will gain support from the other.

The producer further narrated that, in the twists and turns, they had to go through individual mysterious procedures to win the heart of the girl, but at the end of the day, in actual fact, the lady can only fall for one of them. For the meantime, this is a brief synopsis of the movie.

“Amakye & Dede”, the production will start next week Friday, 5th February, 2016 and production is scheduled to last for about just two weeks. The film will be all set to premiere on easter Saturday, a day after good Friday, 26th March 2016 at the Silverbird cinemas, Accra Mall and west hills mall.

Majid Michel plays the comic character “Dede” as Kalybos plays “Amakye” in the movie, Ahuofe Patri plays the role of the girl they both fall in love with, Kumawood actor Apostle John prah Plays the role of a pastor. Other casts include Emelia Brobbey, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD), Grce Nortey, Kwaku Sintim-missah(KSM) and many more.
