New silky voice singer Maa Naa outdoors her new single “Odo Kakra”. The song is a love song voiced along the lines of Highlife, with an urbanized feel that could pass for an Afrobeats. Maa Naa teaches and accentuates the need to appreciate one’s lover as well as giving some titbits on mainting a loved one. The melodious tune is tipped to officially introduce her properly unto the scene.
Maa Naa is an entrepreneur who runs a Job placement service that recruits and place individuals into jobs, she also consults as a herbalist. Her love for music cropped from childhood and as a teenager where she was compelled by a friend to join the ICGC choir in Kumasi back in the days. It was a shortlived dream when she was hit by a condition called Fibromylgia which is characterized by severe pain and severe depression that made it impossible to pursue her music career for a while. She later found her inspiration back in music as a source of comfort and strength; despite all the odds, she decided to take it on professionally regardless the hurdles in life. Her new song “Odo Kakra” is a love song produced by Ivan Beatz, a Ghanaian based producer.
Maa Naa, real name Matilda MaaNaa Teki Myers, was born on the 20th of May 1979 in Kumasi, Ashanti Region of Ghana. Education started from Golden Age Preparatory School in Tarkwa, and had secondary education at Sekondi College for one year and completed at Fijai Secondary School both in Sekondi Takoradi. She continued to Manifold Tutorial College for training in Broadcast Journalism and Jayee University College for a 3-year Advance Diploma in Business Administration and a 3-year top up in Wisconsin International University College for a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
