The godMC, M.anifest has for the first time, shared his opinion publicly about the altercation that marred the just ended 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to the ace Ghanaian rapper, he is not pleased with how the organizers of the flagship awards scheme have reacted to the altercation involving the two reggae/dancehall heavyweights, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, after its occurrence.
He is of the view that the organizers should have taken responsibility for the unfortunate incident since their lack of sufficient responsibility was the root cause of the altercation.
He shared this view in an interview with Bernard Avle on Citi FM’s Breakfast Show :
“I don’t think the organizers have been accountable enough……..that could and should never happen if they had been more responsible. I am a bit disappointed in them not taking responsibility….think about everybody that was in there, think about what could potentially have happened, God Forbid. But we have to step this thing up in a level, I know it’s difficult to make things happen here but we have to do things really well, safely and other things”, he said.
M.anifest has been billed to speak at the 2019 Ephraim Amu Memorial Lecture on Thursday, 30th May 2019. He is also preparing to release a project dubbed The Gamble. As part of igniting the anticipation for this project, M.anifest released a controversial tune bearing the title Rapper 101 few days ago.
