Bisa Kdei marked another milestone in his rising career when he picked up the award for the best song of the year at Citi FM’s Music Of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) Awards.

The artiste has enjoyed a meteoric rise in fame in the last year, and capped it off with the award.

His hit song, ‘Mansa’ fended off competition from ‘Brother Brother,’ another composition by the talented musician.

Other songs in the category included Concert Party by R2Bees, Minabopo by EL, Gasmilla’s Telemo, Skolom by VVIP, Sarkodie’s Mewu and Obrafour’s, Pimpinaa.

The artiste went on to pick up 3 more individual honours, including being named MOGO Artiste of the Year, in one of his best nights.

In all, ten outstanding artistes received deserved recognition for a good job done.

Outstanding legends, whose contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have brought great gains to the highlife genre, notably Bob Pinodo and Ebo Taylor, were also honoured with lifetime achievement awards.

The awards, spiced with a dinner dance, saw exciting performances from Bob Pinodo, Ebo Taylor, Bessa Simons, and the legendary Amakye Dede.

The MOGO Festival 2016, was powered by Citi 97.3 FM, sponsored by the National Lottery Authority and Rehoboth Properties and supported by Alisa Hotels and the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill.
