Lil Wayne’s new clip for “CoCo (Freestyle)” takes his “prisoner” comments about his current label beef literally. The video, which premiered on Noisey, splices in clips from his past videos and films like Scarface between shots of the rapper dancing and rapping in a lone cage.

“CoCo (Freestyle),” a track off Wayne’s January mixtape Sorry 4 the Wait 2, samples the hit song by O.T. Genasis and includes repeated punches thrown at mentor and label owner Birdman. “Cash Money is an army, I’m a one-man army,” Wayne fiercely raps.

Separating himself from his former family at Cash Money, the rapper sides himself with his mentees Nicki Minaj and Drake (“I ain’t trippin’, I got Barbie, I got Drake too”). Both rappers make brief appearances in the video when he names them.

In January, Wayne filed a lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money for $51 million, alleging that the label withheld money, including $8 million for Tha Carter V alongside numerous other dubious accounting decisions.

Last month, Wayne broke his silence on the lawsuit in an interview with Rolling Stone, confirming that he and Birdman are no longer speaking to one another. “I have no words,” he says. “I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth.”

Tha Carter V, according to Wayne, has been “super-done,” but he has no plans to release it given the legal situation. Instead, he has promised fans The Free Weezy Album, a free LP expected to be released later this month. “I guarantee it’s going to be something dope,” he promises. “If you don’t want a musician being creative, don’t get The Free Weezy Album.”
