Northern Excellence Awards To Honour Development Oriented Individuals & Organizations

The maiden edition of the Northern Excellence Awards (NExA) is set to recognize distinguished Individuals and Organizations who are significantly contributing to the socio-economic development of the Northern Ghana.  The Northern Excellence Awards is an initiative of Celebrities Charity Development Foundation (CeChaDeF), a Non-Governmental Organisation.   

The maiden edition of NExA ceremony will be held at Global Dream Hotel on Independence Day, 6th March, 2019. In an interview with the media, Board Chairman of the Northern Excellence Awards, Mr. Abdul Latif Alhassan revealed the development-oriented merit awards scheme seeks to recognize hardworking individuals, brands and organizations like Entrepreneurs, Corporate Institutions, Politicians, Social and Humanitarian Organizations amongst others who are excelling in their various field of endeavours.

Mr. Abdul Latif mentioned that the Northern Excellence Awards 2019 will honour and celebrate more deserving individuals in the following categories;

  • OUTSTANDING MP OF THE DECADE
  • LONGEST SERVING MP
  • OUTSTANDING REGIONAL MINISTER
  • OUTSTANDING DEPUTY MINISTER OF THE YEAR
  • CEO OF THE YEAR
  • FINANCIAL SECTOR STAR
  • DISABILITY- RIGHTS ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR
  • CLIMATE ACTIVIST OF THE YEAR
  • MOST PROMISING YOUNG MP
  • MOST PROMISING POLITICIAN
  • STAR OF THE YEAR
  • HUMANITARIAN FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR
  • BEACON OF PEACE
  • PRIDE OF UPPER EAST WOMEN
  • PRIDE OF NORTH EAST
  • INVESTOR OF THE YEAR
  • HUMANITARIAN STAR
  • 5 SOCIAL WORK AND NGO CATEGORIES

Mr. Alhassan however made a clarion call to all corporate organizations working in Northern Ghana to support the Northern Excellence Awards which will promote peace and encourage more individuals and organizations to work towards the development of the Northern Ghana to bridge the gap between North and South.  

Co-founder of  NExA Miss Teefa Npanko Fuseini added the ceremony will also bring together top notch celebrities and corporate organizations to share ideas on how to collaborate and support the development of the North with the creation of the new regions.
