The President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffuor has teamed up with Arocha Ghana and Greenbeat in Netherlands, to do a music video as part their fight against environmental degradation.

The music video titled ‘Atiwa Till Eternity’ is targeted at saving the Atiwa forest from galamsey activities.

The video features Obour, Sherifa Gunu, MzVee, Nero X, Heleen Den Homberg (from Netherlands), Kojo Rana, Kuami Eugene and The Patch Bay Band. It talks about how dangerous it is to destroy our natural resources for the selfish gains of some individuals.

According to the MUSIGA President popularly known as Obuor in showbiz, illegal mining and other harmful activities at the Atiwa forest bodes ill for the country.

He, therefore, made a passionate call on the government, parliament and Ghanaians to help secure the forest by upgrading it into a national park.

The Atiwa forest, located in the Kwaebibirem District of the Eastern Region, is one of Ghana’s rich tourism destinations.

The forest has over the years come under threat from illegal mining activities, as well as illegal chainsaw lumbering. These activities pose a bigger threat to the environment and consequently the health of inhabitants of the community.
