Richie Mensah, CEO of Lynx Entertainment certainly must have the Midas touch. This is because since he came into the limelight, everything he touches turns into gold.

Every artiste on his label becomes a big hit in the industry. Currently, the three artistes—MzVee, Kuami Eugene and KiDi managed by his label are among the most sought after acts in the country.

The three are releasing back to back hits and are on every major show in the country thrilling fans wherever they make an appearance.

Other artistes who were waxing strong while on his label include Eazzy, Asem, Ziggy and OJ Blaq.

Showbiz caught up Richie on Sunday and sought to find out from him the secret behind his success.

“Entertainment is mistaken to be just arts but it is actually a combination of arts and science.

“There are certain things you need to do to succeed and that is exactly what we at Lynx Entertainment do,” he said.

“We sit and plan. We draw a five-year plan, narrow it down to a one-year plan and then set monthly targets which we work hard to meet. We really plan and that works for us”, Richie said.

Asked how he feels about succeeding at the end of the day, Richie said it is the best feeling in the world.

“The best feeling in the world is to know that you tried to do something and you succeeded at it. It is the best feeling in the world,” he said.

So is Lynx going to sign up more artistes anytime soon or just fine with MzVee, Kuami Euge and KiDi?

“You never say never but for now we are holding on to the three”, Richie added.

The label is currently very busy working on their programmes for Christmas and that includes the release of Kuami Eugene’s album which will be done with a concert in Kumasi on December 15.

According to Richie, they also have The Wave Concert coming off on December 28 at the Achimota Mall. This will be followed by the release of KiDi’s album in February 2019.

“We are very busy working towards all of these and we trust that they will all turn out great,” Richie said.

He finally had a word of advice for young people out there especially those who have dreams of becoming musicians.

“I know a lot of people think their dreams can’t come true but I would like them to know that a dream with a plan becomes a goal, work hard towards your dreams and you will achieve them.”
