After the successful launch of the maiden edition of the People’s Choice Awards Ghana 2015, organizers of the awards, Spyder Lee Entertainment, have this week officially announced the commencement of nominations for the awards.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Spyder Lee Entertainment and Director of the awards, Mr. Edwin Edinkrah, the general public can now start nominating their favourite celebrities via phone texting.

“At this point, we are giving the opportunity to the general public to decide which celebrities they want to be part of the awards. From now till 31st December 2014, the public can nominate their favourite celebrities by sending their names with the prefix CH to the designated short code 1446 using MTN, Vodafone or Airtel. People are allowed to vote more than once and for the same celebrity of various celebrities”.

After the nominations from the general public, the People’s Choice Awards Board together with the awards statisticians, Deloitte, will shortlist the nominees into the various categories for public voting to determine the eventual winners at the main awards night on March 2015.

Categories under the awards scheme are People’s Choice Male Musician, People’s Choice Female Musician, People’s Choice Actor, People’s Choice Actress, People’s Choice Movie (Ghanaian language & English), People’s Choice Male Radio Presenter (Entertainment, Culture & Sports), People’s Choice Female Radio Presenter (Entertainment, Culture & Sports), People’s Choice Male TV Presenter (Entertainment, Culture & Sports), People’s Choice Female TV Presenter (Entertainment, Culture & Sports), People’s Choice Song (Ghanaian Song), People’s Choice Male Sports Personality, People’s Choice Female Sports Personality, People’s Choice Entertainment Journalist, People’s Choice Comedian, People’s Choice Child Star, People’s Choice Celebrity (Ultimate Prize), Lifetime Achievement Award (Individual) and Lifetime Achievement Award (Organization).

For your favourite celebrities to be part of the People’s Choice Awards Ghana, don’t forget to send their names with the prefix CH to the short1446 using MTN, Vodafone and Airtel. You are allowed to vote more than once.
