It was glamorous night of music, stimulating dialogue, and compelling art at this year’s Goddesses of Art exhibition organized by Horizons Offices and put together in collaboration with Kings Crown Media and Level 8. Featuring works exclusively from female painters, ‘Goddesses of Art’ was in commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day and was aimed at empowering women, and projecting their craft.

Patrons who thronged the Level 8 lounge were treated to good music and beautiful art works from four amazing women namely Betty Acquah, Vicky Addoe, Esther Khaki Ceasar and Bernice Adwoa Cooper.

The event was graced by Lucy Quist, CEO of Airtel Ghana, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Nikki Samonas , Ama K Abebrese and Doreen Andoh

The event was under the auspices of Geoplast Ghana, the country’s foremost name in supply and sales of formwork for construction and put together in collaboration with Kings Crown Media and Level 8.

Lucy Quist who was the Guest Speaker at ‘Goddesses of Art’ exhibition held at the premises of Horizons Offices (on the 8th floor of the One Airport Square building) said the only thing that hinders the development of women in general is their mindset adding, that if people could free their minds and open their minds to the possibility of achieving whatever they conceive, that would be the libation to achieving greater things. Lucy Quist said the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day #BEBOLDFORCHANGE resonates well with ‘Goddesses of Art’ exhibition especially because all the artists that were celebrated at the event were bold women who are using their art to change the world because majority of people have not encountered a lot of women belonging to the field.

Joy FM’s Kofi Laing was the MC for the night and took guest through a night of entertainment, music, art and creative dialogues.

Musa Mousse and Kofi Laing were the curators and organizers of the “Goddesses of Art” exhibition.

When we spoke with one of the organizers of the event Musa Mousse said, “He was well pleased with the turn out and thanked all the leading ladies of their support for kings crown media initiative”.
