Shatta Wale blasts Obour for banning profane songs

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has released a statement vehemently stating why he thinks Musiga has no right to ban profane songs.

According to Shatta Wale, it’s a total disgrace to hear Musiga put a ban on profane songs which in a way limits an artiste’s creativity.

He rather thinks the Union should focus on educating musicians to enable them see their music career as a business venture.

This comes at the back of Shatta Wale recently releasing a song titled ‘Wo mamme T**’ which has generated mixed reactions with most questioning the notion behind using such a derogatory term.

In response to such reactions, the musician union of Ghana earlier released an official statement desisting musicians from recording songs that may contain explicit lyrics.

However it seems Shatta Wale isn’t happy about that, checkout his full statement in regards to the Unions decision to warn artistes about profane songs signed by the Musiga President himself Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour.

“We have seen musicians come and go down. All becuase they dont speak out for their rights. This so called industry has made musicians so poor till now that musicians cant even make ends meat. Its a total disgrace to hear musigha come out to think banning of profane songs can change our industry but dont think of educating musicians to see this career as a business venture which most musicians need more than anything. Obuor and you team sit up cuz all what you see these days is called the “REVOLUTION”, he posted on his personal facebook timeline.
