As the public celebrates and praises both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for smoking the peace pipe and organising a press conference to cement the fact, it appears there are still a few people who feel the move is a showbiz stunt.

Highlife act Kwaisey Pee, for instance has said it was a smart move by the musicians to organize such a conference even when their case in court is yet to be heard.

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were involved in a scuffle at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) where Shatta climbed the stage uninvited when Stonebwoy was receiving his Reggae/Dancehall act of the year award.

Stonebwoy pulled a gun, spiralling into chaos where both musicians were arrested and granted bail to reappear in court on June 20, 2019.

Reacting to their union, Kwaisey Pee said the speed with which the musicians united after the brawl showed it was business oriented move, adding that it makes the move questionable.

“The case is still court as we speak and for them to come out shortly after the incident and say they have united and the whole peace concert thing makes it a pure business. I mean everybody likes peace but I fell that reconciliation is purely commercial,” he stated on Asempa FM’s Tête-à-Tête weekend entertainment show.

He urged organisers of the yet-to-be organised Ghana First Peace concert to be keener on security since a clash has the tendency to occur between fans of both camps.

“We all know most of the fans of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are street boys so when there is a misunderstanding during the programme, we can imagine what will happen, bearing in mind that the fans of these two are not in support of their union,” he added.
