Double Cross – a new movie – is showing for the first time in Ghana on Friday, February 6, at the three Silver Birds Cinemas at Weija, Accra Mall and the West Hills Mall.

The movie, shot in Ghana, stars award-winning actress Ama K. Abebrese, multi-award winning actor John Dumelo, and Ghana Movie Award best-actor of the year recipient, Adjetey Anang, Jasmine Baroudi, musician and actress Paulina Oduro and veteran screen talent Samuel Odoi-Mensah.

Directed by the prolific Pascal Aka and co-produced by D.R Kufuor and Ama K Abebrese, the love-themed movie tells the story of a young woman, Effie Howard, whose life dramatically retrogresses after her fiancé got convicted and sentenced for a crime he did not commit.

She gets consumed in the quest to prove his innocence and discovers a side of her she never knew existed.

The movie received great reviews after its London premiere in October last year.
