Adom TV’s morning show (Badwam) host, Nana Yaa Brefo, has rubbished reports circulating that she called Kumawood actress, Rosemond Boateng popularly known as Kyeiwaa, a dishwasher in the USA.

According to her, she is a professional journalist endowed with ethics hence defaming people on mainstream media for news traffic cannot be part of her craft.

“I didn’t call Kyeiwaa a dishwasher. I never used that word on my show. I respect Kyeiwaa a lot and using such cold words isn’t part of me… I studied at GIJ and have been in the industry for years so I have enough experience when it comes to respecting people…”

In an earlier interview with Kumasi-based actor, Papa Kumasi on “As) K))”, a segment on Adom TV’s Badwam morning show, Nana Yaa made reference to Kyeiwaa when talking about some Kumawood actresses leaving the diaspora because the movie industry no longer appears lucrative.

She made mention of the Kumawood actress, saying “Kyeiwaa now sells local foods in the United States”.

But some people took an offence to the statement, saying Nana Yaa had disrespected Kyeiwaa by calling her a dishwasher.

According to Nana Yaa, she had no intention of jabbing the award-winning actress but rather cited an example using her current job in USA for the interview.

She has therefore urged offended fans to take heart on the matter.
