Shortly after the release of her song, ‘Jeje’ featuring Shatta Wale, rumours were rift that Sista Afia was in an amorous relationship with the dancehall artiste.

The rumours were fueled by a scene from the music video of the song where the two artistes touched lips. There were also pictures of them together on social media.

But speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, Sista Afia said “I’ve heard about that thing [dating Shatta Wale] so many times.”

She was, however, quick to refute that, “I have never had an affair with Shatta Wale.”

The controversial musician explained that her relationship with Shatta Wale was purely work and “I really don’t talk about it” because she knows the rumours are not true.

“We’ve never done anything. I respect Shatta Wale, I respect Michy, I respect everyone in his crew,” Sista Afia stressed.

She explained the dating rumours might have been fueled by the scene from the music video where their lips got close but they did not kiss.

Asked if she has dated anyone or had sexual advances from men, the singer said she used to get a lot of advances from men.

According to her, even though she got a lot of advances from men, “I have never had anything to do with any man in this industry.”
