The battle for supremacy at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 is on as every music superstar looks to dominate his/her category.

The event set to take place on the 18th Of May has attracted lots of debate and controversies around its nominations and more but one that nobody saw attracting any form of controversy is the nomination of medikal in the “rapper of the year” category which rapper Obibini Boafo has some sort of issue with.

Speaking to Sammy Flex on his popular morning show “showbiz agenda” yesterday, Sammy quizzed Obibini on who doesn’t deserve to be in the category for “rapper of the year”. He went on to state that;

“The weakest link in there will be Medikal for me. His stuff really sits well with the kids but this is best rapper of the year we are talking about, this is lyricism”.

He went on to talk about other nominees in the category which are Teephlow, Sarkodie, Manifest.
