The Vodafone Icons music reality television show is staging a return with an edition solely curated with music talents in Ghana’s Senior High Schools, the focus.

At a launch in Accra Friday, (August 28th) company officials and producers said the idea was to offer contestants a solid foundation in what could be a potentially commercially viable career.

Chief Marketing Officer at Vodafone Ghana, Agnes Effah, said “Vodafone Icons – High school edition – will offer high school students skills to prepare for a future life in music composition, engineering, instrumentalisation and the like.

“We will be seeking to discover, groom and showcase high school musical bands to give them the needed exposure and foundation to realise their musical dreams.

“This also falls in line with the vision of the Ghana Education Service to provide relevant and holistic education that will enable students acquire skills to assist them in developing their potential.”
