Defying the general talk that a young man and a woman cannot just be “best friends,” hiplife rising star, Pappy Kojo has revealed that actress and model, Yvonne Nelson, is his new “best friend”.

Pappy Kojo says that platonic relationship is going very well. “I am now like best friends with Yvonne,” he said.

Pappy Kojo’s revelation on Citi FM’s Traffic Avenue explained why Yvonne Nelson had tagged along to his media appearance on the show ahead of the Decemba 2 Rememba concert.

When asked why the two had become close all of a sudden, Yvonne Nelson said they were “working together.”

“We’re working on something,” she said and went on to give indications it may be a film project by retorting “Jessica what do I do?” when Jessica Opare-Saforo, the show’s host, tried to get a sense of their working relationship.

Pappy Kojo described himself as “still new” on the showbiz as far as his standing on the music scene is concerned and said he is still learning.

“Everything that is happening to me now, I still look at it like; wow, I’ve always wanted this and it’s happening… I’m learning, I’m still new.”

The ‘Realer no’ hitmaker also revealed he is working on his first album which he hopes to release next year.

“I am working on my album and I want to put out in April or May. I want to bring the greatest album of all time so I am working on that.”

Pappy Kojo gave some more insight into his life following the Citi FM Twitter/Facebook chat last week and said his life revolved around the “gym, movies and studio.”

He also talked about his tattoos saying “they all mean something.” He pointed out tattoos of his Grandmother, Gifty and Sister, Abena – names he had tattooed onto his body because they were dear to him.

Pappy Kojo assured fans he will try to perform most of his songs at the D2R concert.

“On that day, I will try and do all my other songs. Most of the time I just do my four main songs but people really like my other songs so I promise to do my other songs and bring more energy and set the place on fire,” he said.

A humble Pappy Kojo also said, “I’m excited to be part of this great event – I’m excited. It means I am doing something good for myself.”

The Decemba 2 Rememba Concert 2015, will feature others like E.L, Stonebwoy, Gasmilla, Kontihene, Atom, Eazzy, Okyeame Kwame and a host of others.

The event tagged Ghana’s official Christmas party will be held on December 24 at the Accra International Conference Centre. The dress code for the event, as always, is a white top and with jeans.
