Zylofon Media has signed BET award winner and dancehall star Stonebwoy to its record label.

The signing that happened on Thursday 15th June at the plush premises of the media company at East Legon was also to unveil the artiste as the newest addition the Zylofon Media family.

Explaining the purpose behind the signing of Stonebwoy, CEO of Zylofon Media Nana Appiah Mensah said the company was attracted to Stonebwoy’s musical talent and intellect. According to him Stonebwoy has great and unmatched music talent and is suitable for any platform in the world.

Nana Appiah added that another reason why they signed Stonebwoy is his understanding of the fact that music is business.

He said “Stonebwoy is not just an artiste, he understands music and is not just an everyday artiste that is good at getting in front of the mic and singing”

He said if an artiste has an inherent talent and can give great music, it becomes a privilege to align oneself with such artiste knowing that whatever investment you make in such an artiste will not go down the drain and he sees Stonebwoy as such an artiste.

Stonebwoy in his response thanked Zylofon Media for being a brand that seeks to invest in local artistes especially at a time when most artistes find it difficult to get support from the industry.

He thanked everyone that had supported his career and promised that with the backing of Zylofon Media he will do his best to see Ghana music reach the highest height.

Zylofon Media established months ago first signed highlife singer Kumi Guitar. A few weeks ago it added songstress Becca to its record label.

Stonebwoy, Livingstone Etse Satekla , a Ghanaian afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste and the third to be signed unto the Zylofon Media label.

He is the CEO of Burniton Music Group. In 2015, he won Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 BET Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards.
