Popular Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei hopes to reform drug users with his upcoming first produced movie and one cast movie titled, “Last Night”.
The new movie is scheduled to open for African audience with a grand red carpet event at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on August 21.
“The movie is basically to further echo the message about the effects of drug abuse and how it is messing up everything,” Prince David told NEWS-ONE on Monday ahead of the premiering event.
With this movie, Prince David joins the league of Ghanaian screen actors-turned-producers.
It is the first one cast movie in Africa. Directed by Andy Boyo, it stars the award-winning actor, Prince David.
Last Night is described as a psychological thriller about a radio presenter called Bright Mensah, a drug addict married with a son.
He is a dodgy guy who also deals in drugs but uses his radio programme show, ‘Truth and Consequence’, as a front.
The movie directed by Andy Boyo was shot with crew from South Africa and Nigeria as well as Ghana.
Last Night will be released from the stables of David’s PDO Production.
