The death of the late songstress and receiver of VGMA posthumous Artiste of the Year Award, Ebony Reigns, known privately as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng got many in tears.
Some people even contended at that time that the late Ebony will never be forgotten as she took the music industry by storm to the admiration of Showbiz enthusiasts.
Fast forward, the executive producer of Ruff Town Records, Bullet, brought Wendy Shay which many claim that she has continued from where the late Ebony left off.
Danny Beatz in a celebrity interview with Central Music Awards 2019 Best Presenter Nominee, Amansan Krakye, of Radio Central in Cape Coast was asked if Wendy Shay has made people forget Ebony, he said.
“It is the character of Ghanaians not to remember those who have achieved greatness. Ebony will be remembered for doing what no one else had done in the music industry for just two years”.
“Everyone is unique, Wendy Shay is unique for the way she sings so is Patapaa also unique though others may describe his style as nonsense but no one else can do that”.
“Ebony did what she could do as God had blessed her with and made name for herself for 2 years”.
Ghanaian beat maker, Daniel Owusu Agyapong, popularly known as Danny Beatz was the official producer for late Ebony Reigns.
He produced “Hustle” which featured Brella and also mastered most of her songs. Before Ebony’s sudden demise her last collaboration was “Mede Kuku”, a featuring she did for Danny Beatz.
