A publication by Italian tabloid Gazetta dello Sport has revealed that Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is the highest earning Ghanaian currently plying his trade in Italy earning 133,333 euros a month which pegs his annual earnings at 1.6m euros.

Italy is no strange place for Ghanaian players as the likes of Stephen Appiah,Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan have all featured for a number of clubs including Inter Milan and Juventus over the past few years. However the last few years have seen a newer generation take over the mantle from the old guard and their salaries were also featured in the list.

Udinese’s Emmanuel Agyemang Badu who is currently in his 6th season with the Italian top flight side currently rakes in 600,000 euros annually.
