Sport, movies, series and so much more is now available anytime, anywhere, thanks to DStv Now, a new App across Africa that allows subscribers to watch Live TV, enjoy DStv Catch Up and view the TV Guide from their mobile phones and tablets.

The mobile app is currently on offer to DStv Premium subscribers with a PVR or Explora decoder, on both iOS and Android tablets and mobile phones through 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi internet connections.

The app was officially launched in Ghana on the 11th of December at the Alisa Jazz Court. Present at the event was Irene Logan who entertained the crowd and Anita Erskine who drove the event. Speaking at the event, Mr. Cecil Sunkwa Mills, General Manager for MultiChoice Ghana and Director for GOtv Ghana mentioned that “MultiChoice is constantly watching the international and local dynamics and innovating to ensure we remain at the forefront of new technology and trends.” And it was as part of MultiChoice’s desire to give viewers more control over that the DStv Now app has been introduced.

He also mentioned that this year alone DStv has launched in excess of 10 new channels excluding the ad-hoc broadcasts which our subscribers look forward to like Big Brother, Idols and the , the Oscar Pistorius Trial channel and commended the media for the job their continuous support of MultiChoice and spreading awareness of the DStv and GOtv brands. He also thanked the entertainment industry for their earnest support in MultiChoice and M-Net’s bid to provide quality African programs and content.

To enjoy the DStv Now app, simply visit your mobile App store to download the free App. After logging in with your DStv Connect ID, link your Premium Smartcard to your DStv Connect Account by going to www.dstv.com for iOS users, while Android users will be given the option to register and link smartcards on the App. Thereafter, you will be able to stream or download your favorite Catch Up titles and view a host of other live TV channels, including SuperSport, , plus M-Net movie channels including Comedy, Actions Plus, Drama & Romance and Premiere. The relevant data costs will apply when streaming content.

There are also selected Live TV channels to watch on your mobile device and tablet plus an eight-day TV Guide showing Live programming on all DStv channels is available to DStv Subscribers.
