After receiving an encouraging number of movies across Africa, the grand jury of the  award that seeks to honour individuals in the African movie industry who have impacted and excelled greatly in the movie world under the year of review  across  Africa and has also embarked on humanitarian works throughout their countries  “Golden Movie Awards”  have had their first meeting.

The sitting which took place at OAK PLAZA which is also one of the sponsors for the award was a long one, as the sitting started at 8am and ended at 9pm.The Grand Jury has promised that, only people who merit the award will be awarded simply because ,the award scheme is based on performance only and not popularity.

However in a discussion with the communication Director Esther Quayson,  she stated that Golden Movie Awards has only two categories for judgment by public which is GOLDEN FAVOURITE ACTOR and GOLDEN FAVOURITE ACTRESS. She also added that the date for the nominees’ announcement will be communicated this week. Here are pictures of the first meeting
