Kasapa 102.3 FM, Accra’s latest radio addition, has kicked off its official test transmission.

The station today went live in what owners EIB Networks say is their proper, official test transmission ahead of real programming.

The station is located in Adabraka, and shares the same facility with LIVE 91.9 FM, its sister station, enewsgh.com can say.

EIB is looking to build a solid on air team that can rival competing brands in the mass market demographic. Some notable names have been penciled down for possible recruitment. Former Happy FM and etv presenter, and current host of k)k))k) on UTV, Afia Schwarzenegger, is the station’s first official signing.

Formerly trading as Choice FM, it was acquired by Kwabena Duffour and Bola Ray’s EIB Networks in December, 2014.

EIB’s other on air investments include Starr FM (Accra), Ultimate FM (Kumasi), Empire FM (Takoradi) and Agoo FM (Nkawkaw).
